A venture may be founded within the wider ecosystem, supported through a CIE pathway, connected as a partner, or developed through a separately agreed commercial relationship.
Portfolio presentation does not by itself establish ownership. Where CIE Global Ventures invests, co-builds, licenses technology or receives economic rights, those terms must be documented transparently and governed separately.

These principles apply across submissions, programme participation, co-building, investment and portfolio reporting.
Need-driven innovation
Ventures should address a credible market, institutional or development need rather than technology for its own sake.
No ownership by participation
Submission, evaluation or programme participation does not automatically transfer IP, equity or commercial rights.
Transparent commercial terms
Investment, licences, fees, equity or revenue participation require a separate written agreement with clear consideration.
Independent venture governance
Each company retains its own lawful board, cap table, intellectual-property register, controls and decision responsibilities.
Build, invest or partner
Bring a credible innovation or capability into the venture ecosystem.
Founders may submit innovations for assessment. Investors, institutions, technology experts and market partners may explore separately defined collaboration opportunities.
